- The Rivie is an area forming a coastal headland in the Aberdeenshire village of Collieston. The Rivie surrounds but does not include the Community Centre (formally the village school) owned by Aberdeenshire Council.
- Collieston Community Development Group have made the area an attractive and exciting outdoor space that can be used by people of all ages and abilities.
- The area overlooks the village and harbour beach, but it has the advantage of being completely separate, thus avoiding the large groups of people using the harbour area. This makes it an ideal open space for people who, for various reasons, may have difficulty accessing busy outdoor areas.
- The area is open to locals and visitors alike, and the Group is particularly keen to make the site accessible to all, including those with various needs, whether physical, sensory, or learning.
- This has been achieved by the installation of paths across the headland, installing outdoor exercise equipment whilst also creating seating and picnic areas.
