Wednesday night of Gala week was wet, but bravely some of our hardy villagers came out for boules night. There were 7 teams battling the elements, the puddles and even at one point a floating jack. There was much chat, laughter and a very welcome bar provied by the Community Council that kept everyone happily playing to the end.
The final saw some of the best shots of the evening as the Twividson’s battled the Wrecking Balls, with much cheer from everyone. However the Twividson’s were the winners and club president Gail presented the trophy before we all headed home to dry off.
A fun evening, with most agreeing that the rain kept the midges away (though they did briefly appear between showers).
Thank you to everyone for attending either to play or support, to the boules club for organising and especially to the bar staff for keeping everyone hydrated!
