The fancy dress parade is an event enjoyed by all ages. There is no age limit to taking part with parents and grandparents often dressing up with the children and following the local piper from High Town, through the village to Low Town, finishing on the pier for the judging of costumes.
This years costumes were amazing and imaginative and reflected the creative mind and skill of the village families. Included in the parade was bright shiny robot with long flexible arms an multiple moving parts, count bin face, Elton John, Jessie from Toy Story, The Elements, Poseidon, Yoshi from Mario Kart, a gruffolo, a reluctant mouse, a mad scientist accompanied with 3 monster experiments, 2 construction workers to name some.
Judges this year awarded 1st, 2nd and 3rd to the various age groups (under 5’s, 5-12 and 12+) along with a prize for the most original and a group prize too.
